A day devoted to the Arts and Culture of the Santa Maria Valley. We started off the day with breakfast and a tour of Art Craft Paints owned by Teresa Arredondo ( LSMV Class 2005).
We had a great time exploring the Santa Maria Valley Museum of Flight–what a gem of a treasure here in the Valley! Mike and his staff were superb- it is amazing all the history they have amassed in the old hangers!
A special thanks to Topic Day advisor, Valerie Amador ( Class 2014) for sponsoring our lunch, and the iconic Bill’s Takeout for the delicious burgers and fries!
After lunch we headed over to another gem of the Valley, PCPA, where we had a fascinating tour of all they do there, plus a glimspse of some upcoming holiday stage sets!
Our final stop on a very busy day:
Listening to Ms Olivia Bolanos Director of Curriculum at Santa Maria Bonita School District. We were at the new campus of Roberto and Dr Francisco Jimenez Elementary School learning about the Art Program. What a beautiful new school with a great program for the children. Thank you also for the refreshments! Very much appreciated!
